The Innovation Technology Access Centre (I-TAC) provides small hi-tech start up companies and other organisations occasional but regular access to laboratory space and scientific instruments. This equipment and expertise is provided in a highly collaborative environment alongside other businesses and STFC scientists.
The I-TAC team can also help in a number of other ways, either through the laboratories or our wider network.
Problem solving for industry
From the word 'go' it was obvious that I-TAC understood and could fulfil the needs of a new biotech business. Having a base here is a crucial stepping-stone for Vantage R&D, taking us from being an entirely virtual start-up to becoming operational and moving towards establishing our own laboratory facilities in the future. Before starting work at I-TAC our technology was completely unproven – not anymore!
