We are a forward looking company that wants to put the customer at the heart of all we do. TopCat aims to provide effective and cost conscious analytical products for the food, pharmaceutical and environmental markets. TopCat products will be based on immunoassay (ELISA) and DNA detection (PCR) platforms. These platforms will be used to create products that our market research has shown are most appropriate for our target markets.

At TopCat Research we believe the best way to deliver relevant products is through dialogue with customers. Our target customers are varied and include service end users, service providers, technology partners and technology developers. However, the TopCat ethos goes further than just dialogue and we regard all customers as Stakeholder Partners. We believe that product success is a two-way street: We want our stakeholders to succeed to help TopCat succeed.

Our Consultancy Service is open to all Stakeholder Partners. We want to discuss ways in which TopCat can help your business. This can be through discussion of our research, products, or future developments. We also want to support Stakeholders that have existing technology platforms that may require troubleshooting or more effective deployment. We know that ‘Knowledge is power’ but we want to use our extensive knowledge to give you, our Stakeholders, the power to take your business forward, either in a new direction or a better direction.

The TopCat approach is to be open to ideas but mindful of the needs of our Stakeholder Partners. From our in-house knowledge and expertise, we have decided to take a pragmatic approach to technology platforms and use well established methods to drive our Stakeholders’ and TopCat’s success. Thus, TopCat will primarily develop products based round the Enzyme Linked Immunoassay (ELISA) and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) platforms. The initial focus will be on the ELISA products as these are, in TopCat’s opinion, quicker to develop.

The overall vision is to create screening assays on the ELISA platform and then use PCR or IMMUNO-PCR to develop confirmatory tests, in the relevant market sectors. However, our research, as with all our efforts, is driven by our Stakeholders and Stakeholder Partners so we are looking forward to your thoughts on our strategy.
